Alumni Memorial Scholarship
suppOrting the children of appalachian alumni
The Alumni Memorial Scholarship is an endowed scholarship awarded annually to children of Appalachian alumni who are incoming freshmen. The screening process is highly competitive, and is based on high school academic success, SAT or ACT scores, participation in school and community activities (including work experience), and leadership potential.
The first AMS was awarded in 1988. Since then, more than 60 scholarships have been awarded. This scholarship is made possible each year by the continued support of alumni and friends of the university and the proceeds of the Appalachian license tag program.
